Le Palindrome de Georges Perec, également connu sous le nom de Grand Palindrome, fête cette année ses cinquante ans. Il reste l'un des textes le plus marquants du XXE siècle mais n'avait pourtant jamais été publié seul. Cet oubli est aujourd'hui réparé ! Son énigmatique titre original, 9691, EDNA D'NILU 0, MÛ, ACERE, PSEG ROEG n'est autre que le palindrome de la mention finale du texte : Georges Perec. Au moulin d'Andé, 1969. Il compte 1 247 mots et 5 566 lettres, soit le produit de la multiplication palindromique 11 x 23 x 2 x 11. A l'époque de sa rédaction, George Perec se joue des contraintes : elles sont même au coeur de son travail. Membre depuis deux ans de l'Oulipo, l'auteur dit se donner "des règles pour être totalement libre" . Il vient d'achever et de publier chez Denoël La Disparition, roman lipogrammatique de plus de 300 pages intégralement rédigé sans la lettre e, la grande absente. Monovocalismes, hétérogrammes, mots croisés et jeux de logique figurent parmi ses distractions et oeuvres.
